Killer Boogie – Acid Cream

Killer Boogie – Acid Cream
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

Killer Boogie – Acid Cream
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

I can easily imagine some bearded long-haired, with biker vest, flared trousers and Texan boots, dancing the boogie-woogie. You only need the right music to fill the dance floor. A music following a typically blues structure, but with an overflowing fuzz guitar instead of a frenetic piano. Anyway, a slightly slowed blues rather than a speeded up one (after all, to see a bunch of long-haired ones dancing as if they were jumped back in time to the 30s, it is also necessary a taste of hallucinogen!). Groove level pushed to the maximum, that of bullshits to the minimum. Pure rock n 'roll spirit, explicitly influenced by the late 60s and early 70s, as in the previous Detroit (2015). But compared to the debut, Gabriele Fiori's (guitar and voice, as in his other creature, Black Rainbows) band diminishes the destructive proto-punk charge and the amazing hendrixian fantasy in favour of a tasty Cream ice-cream, with a hint of twinkly psychedelic acidity. Taste carefully, and then jump into the dance floor.

Monsternaut – Enter the Storm

Monsternaut – Enter the Storm
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

Monsternaut – Enter the Storm
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

The Chevrolet Chevelle that Monsternaut had stolen from Fu Manchu has now been transformed into a heavy truck with a trailer. The car with which the three Finns had raced along the territories of the most adrenaline stoner with two great self-produced EPs then reissued in a single LP by Heavy Psych Sounds in 2016, is now a 20 tons articulated lorry moving in slow motion and crushing everything it meets on its way. No more burning accelerations, or screeching or spinning out. Freedom of movement and agility are drastically reduced in favour of a strong determined pace that does not fear obstacles. Riffs are still ultra-pumped up thanks to a fuzz full of diesel, but the exhaust gas is denser than ever, its colour close to the black of doom metal. Monsternaut took their driving license at Scott Hill's driving school and the style of reference remains the one learned by the blond American guitarist, but the Finns have realized that open folding hood and sunglasses are not suitable for all seasons at their latitudes. Therefore they equipped with a more solid vehicle, perhaps not the most suitable to bring the surf board to the beach or a beer crate to a party, but perfect for storing wood for the winter.

High Reeper – High Reeper

High Reeper – High Reeper
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

High Reeper – High Reeper
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

Ozzy Osbourne has got countless children around the world. The last one was born in 2016 in Philadelphia and he is called High Reeper. Ozzy may not recognize it, but there is no need for a DNA analysis to realize who the real father is. High Reeper has got the toxic frenzy of Black Sabbath at the time of Master of Reality, but also the funeral gait and the obscure look of Birmingham band's debut album. We do not know exactly who the mother is, but surely she must have the energy and groove of Californian stoner rock and a pinch of punk effrontery - features making the baby an uncontrollable forge of funny riffs with overwhelming groove. High Reeper is still a child and he faithfully follows in the footsteps of his father (and his various uncles - Pentagram and Saint Vitus above all), but his imagination foreshadows excellent grades in the school of proto-metal and retro-rock to which he has just registered. Deskmate of his brother Beastemaker, High Reeper has got a less explicit passion for horror rock, but a more obvious attraction for motorbike rumbles and accelerations. Hoping that with its growth the band will fully develop its personality (maybe collecting some bad grades, starting to repudiate parents, and attending bad friends), in the meantime we enjoy the enthralling songs of this debut.

The Freeks - Crazy World

The Freeks - Crazy World
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

The Freeks - Crazy World
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

If Ruben Romano had joined Eddie Glass in the resurrection of the historical core of Nebula (hopefully to compose new songs), it would have been difficult to contain the cosmic ecstasy of all those nostalgic of late 90s stoner rock. But we probably would have lost the chance to discover Romano's new soul which with his Freeks - without any sense of nostalgia - digs out Detroit garage rock, projecting it in the most remote galaxies. The fourth album of the L.A. band was born from the proto punk of the previous record (Shattered) but, wide open the garage door, it reveals to have parked here a (rusty, dirty, dented) spaceship ready to take off. Crazy World leaves from the dusty soil of a cellar (American Lightning, featuring Ray Hanson of Thee Hypnotics) and morbidly flirts with a cover of a Pj Harvey's song (This is Love) turning it into a track smelling like alcohol and cigarettes. Then he turns on the engines of the old space wreck to let it float in a sky of psychedelic jam (Take 9) before launching it on intergalactic journeys full of explosions and bright flashes (Chronic Abduction) and finally let it land with a majestic ballad (Mothership to Mother Earth). Despite the vintage aftertaste (reminiscet of 60s sci-fi b-movies, with references to alien abductions and strange experiments on human beings) there is no room for any revivalist retromania, because Romano and his band have got disruptive and irrepressible energy and fantasy, essential to restart an "out of fashion" spaceship like theirs, letting it travel along new trajectories.

The Lords of Altamont - The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamont

The Lords of Altamont - The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamont
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2017)

6 dicembre 1969.

The Lords of Altamont - The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamont
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2017)

December 6, 1969. The day the Summer of Love dies. The "peace & love" utopia is symbolically shattered under The Rolling Stones stage, where guns and knives take the thunder away from guitars. From that sudden and shocking awakening, and from the consequent return to raw reality, it comes the name of Jake Cavaliere's band. A character who has always drenched flower power into the black exhaust of a Harley, riding the "not at all positive" energy of the primordial proto punk since the time of his collaborations with The Fuzztones and with The Cramps (singer on Monster at Go-go for the first ones, roadie and guitar technician for the second ones). With the sixth record of his band (The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamont) Cavaliere proves he has never parked his motorcycle in the garage, but he rather lets himself go to wheelies in pure Stooges style (Going Downtown), punk acceleration (Death on the Highway) and screechs of tires on the asphalt (the super-stoner cover of Evil by Howling Wolf). No helmet well tied on the head, their is a wild ride fleeing from the police. Rock n 'roll thugs looking for pure and simple fun. Attending certain companies could be very dangerous, yet also incredibly exciting!

Black Rainbows – Pandaemonium

Black Rainbows – Pandaemonium
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

Black Rainbows – Pandaemonium
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

To pass from the reactionary garbage dustbin to the shelves of absolutely unmissable cult DVDs, 60s/70s Italian b-movies needed the catwalk offered by American authors like Quentin Tarantino. Black humor, taste for excess, desire to shock, sex, violence and vulgarity: all this for years, in our country, has been a cultural taboo to be ashamed of. Not to mention the explicit references to genres born abroad and re-proposed in Italy with reduced means. As long as some prominent (American) name did not make us realize how extraordinary the craft creativity of our authors was. In music, all this is perfectly represented by Black Rainbows. Not adequately considered in their homeland, they collect deserved attention abroad, where they are regular guests in genre festivals, and they are counted among the leading names in the stoner scene of recent years. Putting their last record into the stereo is astonishingly entertaining as bumping into the heart of the night into a movie by Antonio Margheriti. While maintaining some high-speed accelerations in Fu Manchu style (High to Hell, Sacrifice), the funky groove of a chase on a bypass typical of some albums of the past is now projected more and more deeply into space, and it often turns into a steamroller crushing spaceships queueing at the traffic lights (Grindstone) or in colorful flying saucers in orbit in the Hawkwind galaxy (13th Step of the Pyramid). Thanks to the strong and powerful touch of Filippo Ragazzoni (who replaced Al Croce on drums), the latest film directed by Gabriele Fiori has got the unstoppable strenght of a movie that does not fear the censorship, and the maturity of those who know how to expand their own personality without ever distorting it. A film that could talk about alien abductions and interstellar chases, without ever denying its genre of reference, yet constantly extending its boundaries. A vinyl to be kept on the shelf of absolutely unmissable cult records.

Those who stayed at home for bad weather, and those who were on Easter holidays, really missed a fantastic evening of pure rock. Impregnated with all the beauty that the 70s gave us, Wedge actualize and make alive and energetic a genre that risks being pure revival. And if in the just released Killing Tongue all this was clearly written (or rather "pressed"), tonight's concert has definitely emphasized the artistic liveliness of this band highlighting its value and skill. Kiryk Drewinski's guitar is the soul of this trio and the essence of their songs. Riffs, phrasings and solos vibrate with pure electric energy and make it impossible to keep your feet still in front of the stage. And if keyboards (which alternate with the bass and sometimes replace it as Doors used to do) scatter vaguely psych charm on the songs of the Berlin trio, Holger "The Holg" Grosser killing groovy drums are that driving force that makes the difference with many other bands of the genre and gives a completely different pace to the set. An hour of music all in one breath, in which the tracks of the brand new album alternate with those of the homonymous debut, and to which is added a quarter of an hour of boogie as a prize for the not numerous, but certainly warm, audience. An intimate concert - for the venue and for the spectators - but with all the beauty and impact of a set scheduled at Desertfest.

Wedge – Killing Tongue

Wedge – Killing Tongue
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

“You are the reason for having some fun…”

Wedge – Killing Tongue
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2018)

“You are the reason for having some fun…”
If rock n 'roll nature can be summarized in this declaration of intent, this is true also for the music that accompanies it. Wedge open up the Mary Poppins bag of 70s hard rock and show how this is bottomless (or maybe connected with another dimension), extracting from it an infinity of inspiration (liberating energy, colourful arabesques, but also mystical fog) they bring to new life by following the paths recently traced by their fellow countrymen Kadavar and fellow label Duel. Paths in which dry groove and linear direct structures make current the solutions of almost half a century ago. Once again, what comes out of that old bag is music that has fun struggling between known rooms and corridors, constantly showing new corners, hitherto hidden. Certainly thanks to the dwelling in question, a real labyrinthine castle full of possibilities, but also thanks to those who - like the German trio - venture inside it with the receptive eye of those who have enough imagination to be able to find in the dark what seems imperceptible in the great pile of knick-knacks already seen. Because under each hammond part there is dust that Deep Purple have not explored, and behind each curtain you can find a riff that Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin have not found, as well as you can run into a melody not discovered by Humble Pie. When Kyryk Drewinski voice will have breathed the dust of this old house deeply enough  to make rougher his vocal cords and melodies, we will be facing a band able to compete with the best retro rock bands out now.

Duel - Witchbanger

Duel – Witchbanger
(Heavy Psych Sounds,2017)

Duel – Witchbanger
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2017)

Just one year after the release of the excellent debut Fears of the Dead, Duel release another album, a worthy successor to its predecessor. Perhaps not as immediate and enthralling as the first work of the Texan quartet, Witchbanger uses the same formula and ingredients, revealing itself as a record whose impact grows progressively with the number of plays. With songs of incredible groove (like the titletrack and the opener Devil) and others that get immediately impressed in the head of the listener (just think about the refrain of Astrogipsy), the band from Austin refines his style settling more and more on the 70s hard rock current (Thin Lizzy and MC5 above all), yet losing something in psychedelia - component that now only emerges at times and is concentrated mainly in the final (awesome) Tigers and Rainbows. Also in this second album Tom Frank warm rough voice is a distinctive element of the band, as well as his guitar - together with a great rhythm section - is the fundamental structure on which Jeff Henson (now not only just producer of the band, as in the first album) wild Gibson builds phrasings and solos that are the other point of these 8 songs. In just 12 months, an album that is confirmation of Duel great value.

The Freeks – Shattered

The Freeks – Shattered
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

Intanto godiamoci queste scariche elettriche. No future.

The Freeks – Shattered
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

You born punk. You do not become it. And if you were born punk, even if you want to hide it, your mohawk will always emerge. As he has always hidden his mohawk under a layer of hard rock riffs and stoner dust, in Fu Manchu and Nebula Ruben Romano has always revealed his punk hardcore soul up to the point of making unique and personal the music of his bands. With The Freeks - where he sings and plays guitar instead of drums - Romano unleashes his proto-punk spirit through songs that have the rough energy of Detroit bands in the late 60s / early 70s, the lysergic digressions with which Hawkwind used to entertain English underground festivals, as well as the drunk party frenzy of New York Dolls. Third album of the band, Shattered flows fluid, free, uncontrollable, like an evening together with an infinite number of beers. Dirty, groovy, overflowing energy, with some dizziness due to (psychedelic) excesses. Fun that will sooner or later turn into drunken meditations on the infinite universe, to finally end up with vomit and headache. But this is a problem that a real punk does not stand. Meanwhile, let's enjoy these electric discharges. No future.

The Golden Grass / Banquet /Wild Eyes / Killer Boogie ‎– Heavy Psych Sounds 4-Way Split Vol. 2

The Golden Grass/Banquet/Wild Eyes/Killer Boogie ‎– Heavy Psych Sounds 4-Way Split Vol. 2
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

The Golden Grass/Banquet/Wild Eyes/Killer Boogie ‎– Heavy Psych Sounds 4-Way Split Vol. 2
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

In the last few years the research for (lost) tube warmth is a mission undertaken by many musicians in an attempt to remove from their ears cleaned reprocessed compressed sounds typical of that rock born at the turn of the millennium change. Lovers of these sounds - and of the era at the turn of the 60s and 70s - find in Heavy Psych Sounds a reference point and a forge capable of churning out what their ears seek. The new assault on modern sounds conceived by the Italian label is a 4-way split, with explicitly vintage songs that could have been released in the early 70s. If the first chapter of this series was a split dedicated to the "psych" component of the Roman label, this second chapter is definitely focused on the "heavy" one. Space rock and psychedelia wet and deform each of the 12 tracks, but - this time - they are not the center of gravity holding together the whole. The cornerstone of everything is indeed the roughness of the guitar, which plays the classic main role based on blues riffs and solos at breakneck speed.

The Golden Grass start from the distortion of the six strings to bring us to late 60s bright California through constant changes of direction, melting hard rock strenght into floating psychedelic passages, full of the typical unpredictability of improvisation while being solidly structured.

Instead, with its Killer Boogie the host (Gabriele Fiori) pressed the fuzz accelerator to the maximum generating 3 incredible stoner hits. Fu Manchu roads crossed Jimi Hendrix fiery guitar and MC5 energy: the outcome is even more exciting than that of the debut album (Detroit, 2015).

Thanks to a solid and dynamic rhythm section, Wild Eyes have the possibility to grant space to the ramblings of solo guitar and to Janiece Gonzalez voice, which seems even more powerful than what the microphone can stand.

On the last side of this split, Banquet throw themselves in guitar duels worthy of the first NWBHM, enriching them with reverb thus maintaining the psychedelic patina distinguishing each label release.

Now that the passion for rock golden age is a dominant trend - and so it is increasingly lurking the risk that the spirit of authenticity that had generated such a revival fades away - Heavy Psych Sounds shows its muscles, releasing an album which owns all the spontaneity and energy that made such a magical era.

Holy Grove - Holy Grove

Holy Grove – Holy Grove
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

Holy Grove – Holy Grove
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

The air of the forests around Seattle must have reached Portland: indeed Holy Grove have their lungs full of the sounds that were raging in Washington state in the late 80s and early 90s. However slow, the massive powerful riffs of their debut album have got that elasticity well known to Badmotorfinger lovers. Holy Grove music springs from the very same seed that generated Soundgarden: the bluesy obscure hard rock of the early 70s, especially Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. But if Chris Cornell band reinterpreted its origins in the (dark) light of metal and of the heaviest side of the American independent rock of the 80s, Holy Grove assimilated the lessons of the sunny beaches of California and the typical stoner groove stirring those sands. Yet there is not so much Sun in the seven songs of their self-titled album. Easier to be dazzled by the shimmering colors of the Northern Lights that floods each song – besides the beautiful cover – with its cold psychedelic light. The presence of a voice capable of driving with authority music developments shows how much the "holy grove" of Portland is bordering on the dark forests of Seattle. And perhaps it is no coincidence that this full powerful voice - able to venture on high notes without losing an iota of dirt and roughness - belongs to a woman (Andrea Vidal). Because even though Holy Grove are a band that bathes in the river of the heavy music of the past, they are fully in line with the present and with the crucial role played by women, for some years now almost absolute leaders of the microphone. Maybe it is time for a new wave of American alternative rock, this time led by female voice? Holy Grove have all they need to be side by side with Royal Thunder & co in this challenge.

Deadsmoke - Deadsmoke

Deadsmoke - Deadsmoke
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

Deadsmoke - Deadsmoke
(Heavy Psych Sounds, 2016)

The cover itself of Deadsmoke selftitled album is reminiscent of a heavy (UFO)mammoth wandering at the foothills of a glacier. Heavy imposing riffs move with exhausting slowness, like a hairy pachyderm looking for food amongst morainic rocks and snow. Chill envelops both the gigantic mountains and the songs of the band - band formed exactly at the (South Tyrol) mountain slopes. We are at high altitude, in a January night. Maybe for the cold - which numbs and makes you lose sensitivity - or maybe for the hypnotizing starry sky, the fact is that the effect of this music is deafening, with clear references to the cosmic doom of Electric Wizard and Sleep school, as well as Ufomammut. Obtundation is also amplified by some space rock echoes that seem to resonate up in those mountains (also thanks to special guest Gabriele Fiori on synth - Black Rainbows and Heavy Psych Sounds Records, label of the band from Bolzano). And there is also some disastrous landslide of boulders in pure post metal style (Tornado), giving movement to an otherwise monolithic album. Deadsmoke mammoth is an extinct animal and does not add special news to the fauna of the present time: but it is so alive as to be extremely tasty for all the hunters of these sounds. And if you think that it is just a puppy (it is the trio's debut album indeed) you cannot wait to see what it will look like when "grown up" and detached from fathers footsteps.

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest Volume III – Day 2

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest Volume III – Day 2
[Atomic Bitchwax + Giöbia + Fatso Jetson + Duel + Deville + Komatsu]

Infine, Atomic Bitchwax: strepitosi! E all'improvviso ci ritroviamo dentro ad Animals,  con Pigs on the Wings e Pigs...travolgente! assolutamente memorabile!

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest Volume III – Day 2
[Atomic Bitchwax + Giöbia + Fatso Jetson + Duel + Deville + Komatsu]

It seems almost impossible, but today bill is even more electrifying than yesterday one. Our second day then starts from the smallest stage with the Dutch Komatsu. Together with the Atomic Bitchwax, we saved their shows for this festival, despite their being also in Desertfest Antwerp lineup 2 weeks ago. Compact, with a great stoner groove, they got a warm dirty sound that seduces the listener. The "complementary" sound of two guitars - one may be defined as sandy, while the other is heavier and tougher - perfectly goes with the slightly rough vocals. There is room also for a few slow parts (even dissonant and sludgy), but the hallmark of their set is the great, really addictive, groove!

And then you move to the main stage, and you find yourself in front of a band which seems to come straight out of a 80s metal video! Deville = rivers of energy and drive. Uncontrollable (especially the guitarist and bassist) the four Swedes have their strength in their groovy riffs - halfway between stoner and metal - and tight rhythms. Some songs are more melody-oriented and perhaps vocals lose something if compared to the album. But undoubtedly the stage increases their metal side and therefore the heavy attack of their songs.

After only two weeks it is time for Duel once again, and they again confirm to be in their seventh heaven. As Trix stage, the four from Austin give all their best and - despite sounds are not perfect - exalted and exalting they play a concert from which we can not break away! Their gigs confirmed themselves as unmissable!

We would like to recover a bit our hearing (after three bands in a row without a breather), but Fatso Jetson claim us fatally ... because their concert is something sensational! Mario Lalli reminds us of Steve Albini, both for the attitude (although much more down to earth) and the guitar style. The grooviest songs have got the aftertaste of 80s independent noise rock (indeed Lalli family comes exactly from those years, with Yawning Man active since the middle of that decade, before Fatso Jetson) and they stand out for the edgy nervousness and extremely acids and scratching sounds. Slower songs, then, are pure desert rock (well, they invented it!) and they carry the listener into another dimension, estranging it from the context in which it is immersed, making him wave on hypnotic arpeggios. Absolutely awesome!

And now it is really time to let our ears rest a little and so we listen to only a part of Giöbia set, having recently listened to them at Desertfest in Belgium. More compact than in that show (also because once again with their own drummer), they sound particularly heavy and powerful. Super-psychedelic as it is iin their essence, they stun the listener with their mountains of effects, seizing him in their dark dream.

Finally Atomic Bitchwax: amazing! An unstoppable tornado. Whirling and hyperkinetic, they combine a monstruous groove (especially in the bluesy stoner riffs) with compact metal sounds (anyway rich in basses) and almost thrash/hardcore outbursts at full speed: they might look like Rust in Peace era Megadeth playing stoner. They start with Pink Floyd In The Flesh - powerful! - that they then resume in mid-concert, transforming the riff in a blow that makes it seem to come out of the Tony Iommi imagination in his early days. And suddenly we find ourselves into Animals, with Pigs on the Wings and Pigs ... overwhelming! absolutely memorable! And the end of the concert it is time for mosh under the stage (and there we are!): really unthinkable to stand still and impassive! Absolutely one of the best concerts of the year!!!

With this incredible Atomic Bitchwax set ends the third chapter of a festival unique in its kind here in Italy. And if this edition has swept away the other two for the incredible bill, we can only hope (and trust!) that the fourth will go even further! Meanwhile ... stay rock, stay heavy, stay psych!!!

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest - Volume III - Day 1

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest - Volume III – Day 1
[Glowsun + Fuzz Orchestra + Mos Generator + Isaak]

Heavy Psych Sounds Fest - Volume III – Day 1
[Glowsun + Fuzz Orchestra + Mos Generator + Isaak]

Leave the office at 19:30, rush on the highway, swallow a sandwich on the road trying to lose the least possible of this first day of Heavy Psych Sounds Fest - Volume III. Done.

We enter the MU on the notes of Isaak Fountainhead and we stop right away there in the first room, in front of the smallest stage of the festival, for the last 20 minutes of the set of the band from Genova. Four songs, all from their latest album, Sermonize. Overly high volume and distortion at its maximum: the outcome is a big whack in the teeth, that does not penalize the music of the quartet. Giacomo H Boeddu voice is amazing and effective as usual (although a bit devoured by the gigantic sound), as well as the new drummer shows remarkable groove and skill. Too bad to have missed Void Of Sleep and Black Bone, but this is still a great start to the evening!

In the meantime, on the biggest stage, Mos Generator got ready to play. A profusion of hard rock riffs with stoner aftertaste inundates the audience. The American trio has got a strong blues attitude - evident in the taste and touch of Tony Reed solos, really great guitarist! - but there is also room for heavier sounds and phrasings, really close to metal rides. Some minor problems with the monitor speaker for the guitarist - who, as good rodie of himself, solves the matter unplugging it and putting it by a side! - but nothing that minimally affects the impact of their live.

Back to the smaller room and it is time for Fuzz Orchestra. It is like immersing ourselves in a fragmented  schizophrenic soundtrack showing, from song to song, its many faces at first hidden. The atmosphere is that of  a 70s poliziottesco, yet reinterpreted by King Crimson of Red era with a mountain of fuzz, some overwhelming slowdowns in Melvins style and even some heavy shifts into industrial shores. The synergy of guitar-bass-keyboard and samples is perfect and it amplifies the hypnotic daze induced by dilations and obsessive beats saturated with fuzz and magnified by an annihilating volume. Their heavy-noise deviates a bit from the rest of the bands of the festival, but it is perfectly themed for its alienating force. If you do not have listened to them live, you absolutely have to look for their next gig!

Finally Glowsun. A sea of effects for Johan Jaccob guitar, leading the French trio into a sinusoidal stream of space rock, through continuous ups and downs of sound intensity, through psychedelic openings and more purely stoner acceleration (yet always drowned in a sea of wah wah and flanger). The impression is that of being suspended, waiting for a re-start that never arrives. The sound is continually reshaped and transformed, fraying a little bit the compactness of songs. A final of evening wholly unbalanced on atmosphere - rather than on heaviness and groove - in the name of a lysergic magmatic space rock.

After the first two Roman editions, Heavy Psych Sounds Fest has moved to the center-north of Italy, doubling the stages and offering an incredible, unmissable, bill. MU is a fitting location both from the aesthetic point of view and the logistic one, for the alternation of the bands on two stages. Too bad, however, for the acoustics - very good the one of the big stage, alas penalizing that of the small one (at least in this first evening). The 13 bands in the lineup are among the most interesting of heavy-psych international panorama, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is a absolute "prima" for a country like Italy, certainly not standing out for festivals. An additional reason for being here this evening and to not miss the second part tomorrow night!
