Ci sono gruppi che scopri per la prima volta dal vivo ad un festival e che ti convincono al punto da andarli a risentire la sera dopo in un locale non molto lontano dalla tua città. Non succede spesso che questi elementi si coordino così bene, ma nell'ottobre 2016 è successo con i Deville. E quando dopo poco più di due anni tornano in Italia e passano proprio sotto casa tua, questo è uno di quei concerti che non puoi proprio perderti.

Il bello di una band come i Deville è che arrivi in fondo al concerto e non te ne rendi nemmeno conto. La loro miscela di stoner rock ed heavy metal mantiene il livello di tiro della scaletta settato sempre sulla massima potenza: si passa da una canzone alla successiva e si ha l'impressione di non scalare mai le marce, bensì di ingranarne sempre di più alte. Se le canzoni di Make It Belong To Us sono una certezza ed è bello ritrovarle dal vivo, le canzoni dal nuovo Pigs With Dogs sono una conferma della qualità del quartetto svedese e sul palco guadagnano in potenza ed impatto. Il resto lo fanno proprio loro, i Deville, che sul piccolo palco del Cafè Albatross non risparmiamo una goccia di sudore e suonano come davanti al pubblico delle grande occasioni. Al prossimo incontro con gli svedesi, per una nuova dose massiccia di riff stoner metal.

There are bands you discover for the first time live at a festival and they convince you to the point of going to listen to them the next night in a venue not far from your home town. It doesn't often happen that these elements coordinate so well, but in October 2016 it happened with Deville. And when they come back to Italy after just over two years and play exactly in your town, this is one of those concerts that you can't really miss.

The amazing thing of a band like Deville is that you get to the end of the concert and you don't even realize it. Their mixture of stoner rock and heavy metal keeps the level of groove of the setlist always on the maximum power: they pass from one song to the next and you have the impression of never scaling the gears, yet of getting always higher. If the songs from Make It Belong To Us are a certainty and it's cool to find them live, the songs from the brand new Pigs With Dogs are a confirmation of the quality of the Swedish quartet and on stage they gain in power and impact. The other added value are Deville themselves, who on the small stage of the Café Albatross do not save a drop of sweat and sound like in front of the audience of great occasions. At the next meeting with the Swedes, for a new massive dose of stoner metal riffs.
