6 dicembre 1969. Il giorno in cui muore la Summer of Love. L’utopia “peace & lov­e” si frantuma simbo­licamente sotto il palco dei Rolling Sto­nes, dove pistole e coltelli rubano la scena alle chitarre. Da quel risveglio im­provviso e scioccant­e, e dal conseguente ritorno alla cruda realtà, nasce il nome della band di Jake Cavaliere. Un perso­naggio che ha da sem­pre inzuppato il flo­wer power nel nero dei gas di scarico di una Harley, cavalca­ndo l’energia “per niente positiva” del proto punk primordia­le fin dai tempi del­le sue collaborazioni con i Fuzztones e con i Cramps (dei pr­imi è stato cantante su Monster a Go-go, dei secondi roadie e tecnico delle chit­arre). Con il sesto disco della sua band (The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamo­nt) Cavaliere dimost­ra di non aver mai parcheggiato la moto in garage, ma anzi si lascia andare ad impennate in puro sti­le Stooges (Going Downtown), acce­lerazioni punk (Death on the Highway) e sgommate con fumata delle gomme sull’as­falto (la stonerosis­sima cover di Evil di Howling Wolf). Nie­nte casco ben allacc­iato in testa, la lo­ro è una corsa sfren­ata in fuga dalla po­lizia. Teppisti del rock n’ roll alla ri­cerca di divertimento puro e semplice. Frequentare certe com­pagnie potrebbe esse­re molto pericoloso, ma anche incredibil­mente eccitante!

December 6, 1969. The day the Summer of Love dies. The "peace & love" utopia is symbolically shattered under The Rolling Stones stage, where guns and knives take the thunder away from guitars. From that sudden and shocking awakening, and from the consequent return to raw reality, it comes the name of Jake Cavaliere's band. A character who has always drenched flower power into the black exhaust of a Harley, riding the "not at all positive" energy of the primordial proto punk since the time of his collaborations with The Fuzztones and with The Cramps (singer on Monster at Go-go for the first ones, roadie and guitar technician for the second ones). With the sixth record of his band (The Wild Sounds of the Lords of Altamont) Cavaliere proves he has never parked his motorcycle in the garage, but he rather lets himself go to wheelies in pure Stooges style (Going Downtown), punk acceleration (Death on the Highway) and screechs of tires on the asphalt (the super-stoner cover of Evil by Howling Wolf). No helmet well tied on the head, their is a wild ride fleeing from the police. Rock n 'roll thugs looking for pure and simple fun. Attending certain companies could be very dangerous, yet also incredibly exciting!
