Nasce su un'isola la musica dei Minami Deutsch. In continuo contatto con i movimenti del mare e con il vento di libertà che soffia sulla sua superficie. Un'isola che è però anche massimo esempio di disciplina, e ordine. Da questo contrasto di fluttuazioni ondivaghe e strutture rigide e definite nasce la musica di questa band giapponese. Un rock psichedelico che sembra un'architettura costituita da lunghi corridoi che si aprono a raggiera in modo geometrico e ripetitivo (il krautrock labirintico di Tunnel, I've Seen a U.F.O. e Don't Wanna Go Back), ma anche da ampie vetrate con vista sull'Oceano e sul riflesso che il Sole rosso proietta su di esso. I giovani nipponici dimostrano una profonda comunione di intenti e sensibilità con la scena musicale che animò la Germania nei primi anni 70, ma possiedono anche una delicatezza tipicamente orientale. Come una brezza leggera che soffia tra i rami di un minuscolo bonsai, piantato in cima ad un geometrico grattacielo di Tokyo.

Minami Deutsch music is born on an island. In continuous contact with the movements of the sea and with the wind of freedom that blows on its surface. An island that is also the greatest example of discipline and order. The music of this Japanese band is born from this contrast of undulating fluctuations and rigid defined structures. A psychedelic rock that looks like an architecture made up of long corridors that radiate out in a geometric repetitive way (the labyrinthine krautrock of Tunnel, I've Seen a UFO and Don't Wanna Go Back), but also of large windows with view upon the ocean and the reflection that the red sun casts on it. The young Japanese show a deep communion of intent and sensitivity with the music scene that animated Germany in the early 70s, but they also possess a typically oriental delicacy. Like a light breeze blowing through the branches of a tiny bonsai, planted on top of a geometric Tokyo skyscraper.
