Crypt Trip - 23.03.2019 - Cascina Bellaria Rural Music Club! (Sezzadio, AL)

Prendi il primo weekend di primavera, con un cielo ed un'aria che ti caricano di energia. Prendi un locale tutto di legno sperduto nella campagna dell'Alto Monferrato, nel buio più buio punteggiato di così tante stelle che non riesci neppure a contarle. A questo punto prendi una band che riesca a trascinarti in un viaggio che sa di psichedelia, rock'n'roll, blues e motociclette lanciate lungo infinite strade polverose ed assolate. Fatto? Eccoti servito il concerto dei Crypt Trip alla Cascina Bellaria. Se su disco tutti gli ingredienti della loro musica formano una miscela unica e potente, dal vivo il trio texano ha un tiro ed un impatto davvero incredibili. Musicalmente e tecnicamente sono una macchina heavy psych perfetta ed oliatissima che impedisce (in tutti i sensi) al pubblico di rimanere con i piedi per terra: impossibile rimanere fisicamente immobili, impossibile non volare alto ed altrove con la testa. La batteria di Cameron Martin è l'anima più viscerale e sfrenata della band e prende letteralmente vita attraverso la frenesia e maestria del suo "padrone". Chitarra e basso s'intrecciano con riff trascinanti e carichi di groove, in un magma sonoro che dal palco riempie ogni angolo del locale, impregna il legno delle pareti e del soffitto e sembra voler uscire dalle finestre, per disperdersi sui prati ed accendere il buio della notte. Un concerto che vorresti non finisse mai, che arriva alla sua conclusione senza nemmeno rendersi conto del tempo trascorso, e che lascia un'irresistibile voglia di ripetere quanto prima questo viaggio!

Take the first weekend of spring, with a sky and an air that charge you with energy. Take a venue entirely made of wood lost in the Alto Monferrato countryside, in the darkest darkness dotted with so many stars that you can't even count them. Then take a band able to drag you on a journey that tastes of psychedelia, rock'n'roll, blues and motorcycles launched along endless dusty sunny roads. Done? Here it is Crypt Trip concert at Cascina Bellaria. If on album all the ingredients of their music form a unique and powerful blend, live the Texan trio has a truly incredible groove and impact. Musically and technically they are a perfect and very oiled heavy psych machine that (in all senses) prevents the audience from being down to earth: impossible to remain physically motionless, impossible not to fly high and elsewhere with the head. Cameron Martin's drum is the most visceral and unbridled soul of the band and it literally takes life through the frenzy and prowess of its "master". Guitar and bass intertwine with dragging and groovy riffs, in a sound magma that from the stage fills every corner of the venue, soaks the wood of the walls and ceiling and seems to want to come out of the windows, to disperse on the lawns and light up the darkness of the night. A concert that you would never want to end, which comes to its conclusion without even realizing the time elapsed, and which leaves an irresistible desire to repeat this trip as soon as possible!
